Hejz everybody!

Here a next story about my travel adventures.
I speak pretty well English but still have to practice on my writing, so let’s make a start with that! Right now, right here!
After my good times in Milford sounds I start hitchhiking again, and hitchhiked to Invercargill the southern city on the bottom from the South island, a nice city but not that much going on, so the day after right further true the Catlins national park what goes along the cost too Dunedin. The Catlins was nice with his rolling hills and rough coastlines.
The day after try to get further true the catkins up but it’s a pretty remote area and not that many people are going true, so that takes me a while before I get picked-up, but in the end of the day still got to the place where I want to go. I get picked up by Vicky a friendly lady who travelled a lot around the world, like India en Nepal pretty impressive to here story’s about countries like that, worth checking it out.
I travelled for a few days with Vicky up to the Dunedin what is a nice city with a lot of old buildings with influences from Scotland.
After Dunedin hitchhiked along the east coast up to Timarau and from that point inland to Mount Cook village, where I meet up the 2e day with Vicky again and we did a nice hike up to the Muller hut to 2000 m high with an amazing view on the glaciers, Mount Cook and Tasman and the stunning valley! One of the beautiful places of new-Zealand!

The day after along Lake Pukaiki with his milky bleu colours, and further to the biggest city on the south island, Christchurch. Where I spent the night in jail, a good night in jail with some wines and friendly people.
Don’t be worry it was an old jail confirmed in to a backpackers hostel.
There was a cell what was still in his original conditions with wall paints from the last prisoner in jail. Pretty impressive to see how it was.

After an afternoon in Christchurch hitchhiked down to the peninsula to Akaroa, a small village with a big harbour, where I did an afternoon kayak trip with still nice weather for the autumn.
The day after all the way up to Kaikoura where I meet up with Rudi a German friend who I meet before in Napier en Welly! Nice to meet up friends again, Kaikoura is a beautiful place with mountains on the background.
After Kaikoura up too vineyard village Blenheim almost on the top of the South Island, that means that I have been all around.
In Blenheim I meet up with Kasper en Nick and a big group from Napier where staying there as well, een gezellig hostel! It was cool to see kasper en nick again! And to hear about there time after Napier, good on ya mates!

The day after I flied in a small plane from Picton to Welly 25 minutes flied above the Cook Strait! There where 2 other people a pilot in a 14 seats plane. It was like a private jet flight, with stunning views above Blenheim and halfway you could see the very crossing the Cook Strait and the south and north island in one view a nice scenic flight.

Back in Welly I meet up with Jess again where I travelled with along the west coast, we talked about our woof and travel experience. The day after we droved up to Turangi and from there I hitch in one day up too the Coromandel it was bad weather and a lot of rain but it was still good to hitch. I had a hitch from a farmer who was going up to Auckland and dropt me off by the turn off to the Coromandel a 3 hours drive, sweet as bro!

I think in total I had like 50 different rides from Milford all the way up to Auckland, I meet so many crazy and interesting people and the weird’s story’s you can imagine. It was good fun, too many too write down, but one of my best was in the Coromandel, when I get picked up my a kiwi woman who want to bring me further but she first had too clean here house and do some laundry, so she offered me here car and I could drive around in it for 1 hour and do some sightseeing what was amazing, and after that she dropped me off in front of the hostel in Coromandel Town! The locals are so friendly, NZ was amazing wicked.

My last few days in NZ in meet up with Joost who is working for an internship in Auckland, he come over for the weekend too the Coromandel with his nice Subaru station wagon! It was nice to meet up again with him after 6 months already.
We talked al lot about Holland and New-Zealand ect ect.
We did a nice hike in the Coromandel valley and cruised around the Coromandel, too cathedral cove and the hot water beach where we dig a pool in the beach and had or private hot spa, the water is nice hot, some places its to hot to stand on the beach sand.

We had a good time together in the Coromandel, and we just parked the car along the beach and sleep in the back what was ideal.
I had my last rides true nz together with Joost what was very cool we droved back to Auckland where it all starts 6 moths ago in new-Zealand!
Almost 6 months in new-Zealand it was very good, I made some really good friends with people from all around the world! See ya all!!!

Groetjes Dirk.

    Pa:
